ILOC Convention Curacao

More and more women climb their societies ladders of success. The majority of University students are women. The percentage of women in politics and business is growing. Next to their careers, a lot of women also juggle their personal and social life. 

With this convention plan we would like to bring women from all over the Caribbean together during a 3 day informative and interactive convention. During these days they will participate in workshops, lectures, seminars. They will visit the women’s business expo and Caribbean women book fair. Gain information about the different countries, learn from each others culture, connect and build steady networks throughout the whole of the CARICOM. 

The organizer of this convention is specialized in UBUNTU leadership (amongst other leadership styles). UBUNTU is the South African Philosophy of true connection, reconciliation, forgiveness and working together to achieve great things. Mr Nelson Mandela taught the world more about UBUNTU. He always said that working together and respect each others cultures and learn from each others wisdom will make the world a better place. An UBUNTU verb says: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together! 

If we want to grow and go far in the Caribbean region it is important that we go and grow together. The women of the Caribbean are able to do just that. When they get to know each other and make profound and sustainable connections during this 3 day convention.
